A Weekend of Growth, Grit and Great Polo

This past weekend, our athletes had the incredible opportunity to compete in the Sasquatch Water Polo Tournament, hosted at the outstanding King County Aquatic Center. A huge thank you to Newport Hills Water Polo Club for organizing such a well-run event, and to all of the referees and volunteers who made the weekend possible.

We brought four teams to compete across three full days of competition, with many athletes playing on more than one team throughout the weekend. Across these groups, our athletes played 20 games in just three days: an incredible volume of competition that pushed endurance, teamwork, and mental toughness.

Tournament Results

  • 12U Coed: 2nd Place 🥈
  • 14U Coed: 4th Place
  • 18U Boys: 8th Place
  • 18U Girls: 🥇 Tournament Champions (back-to-back!)

Beyond the results, this tournament was all about growth. With so many games packed into a short window, our athletes had the chance to learn in real time—adjusting between matches, building chemistry, and challenging themselves against strong competition from across the region.

We saw resilience, grit, and a willingness to step up in new roles. Each game brought new lessons, and by the end of the weekend, every team walked away stronger.

And while Sasquatch may have been spotted poolside…we’re already hearing rumors that the Yeti Invitational is coming this fall.

We can’t wait!
